This Pregnancy Is Not Something I Take Lightly
I've been sitting on this post for a while, not because I wasn't excited, but because this one is heavy on my heart in a way I didn't expect. Announcing this pregnancy has brought me to tears more times than I can count, and honestly for so many different reasons.
Over the past while I've watched so many people I love go through miscarriage, loss, fertility struggles, the whole heartbreaking journey of wanting a baby and not knowing if it'll happen. And on top of that, I've had my own health issues to deal with that made me wonder for a long time if another baby was even in the cards for me. So this pregnancy, it's not something I take lightly. Not even a little bit.
Every single time I've told someone close to us, I've cried. Sometimes happy tears, sometimes because I know this news might land hard depending on where someone's at in their own story. And if that's you right now, if this is a hard thing to see today, I just want you to know I'm thinking of you as I write this.
But if there's anything I want you to take from this, it's this: healing is possible. Changing your mind after you thought you were done having kids is okay, it's actually so exciting when you let yourself feel it. If there's this little feeling, this calling in you that says you're not done yet, please listen to it. I really believe that's God calling you to something so special and He gave you this desire.
And if your husband isn't feeling the same pull you are, don't nag, don't shame him for it, just pray. Take a real look at your life together and see what might need to shift for him to feel more at peace about adding another baby to the mix. Sometimes it just takes some patience and some changes on our end too.
Take care of yourself through all of this, and trust that God got the details figured out even when we don't.
We are so, so grateful. And so excited to share this with you all. Our baby is due early December 2026.
